
The International Climate Initiative announcing the opening of the 4th Call for Proposal of IKI Small Grants programme.
Small regional, national, and local organisations based in an ODA-eligible country (except for current and potential EU member candidates with exception of Ukraine) are invited to apply for funding of local or regional projects within the scope of the International Climate Initiative (IKI):
- mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions
- adaptation to the impacts of climate change
- conserving natural carbon sinks with a focus on reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation
- conserving of biological diversity
The IKI Small Grants programme provides funding between 60,000 and 200,000 euros for ambitious projects implemented by non-profit organisations that are registered in an ODA-eligible country and have had an average annual revenue between 60,000 and 500,000 euros over the last three years.
The programme is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the Federal Foreign Office (AA).
